Twirling

April 4, 2012

I really wasn’t planning on making up a new pattern for a dress today.  But it happened anyway.

Twirling. I did not wake up this morning with plans to draft a new pattern... But the muslin turned out so great I think she is wearing this on Easter. Yay!

And today ended in twirling.  I think it’s still a win.  Now, about all those things I didn’t do today…

So cute!! We love twirly skirts around here (and I have two more to make and put on easter dresses… one down). Sleeves. Must discuss. Handsewn?

Sleeves? Yes. Finished the lining by hand. But I’m only sewing for one 🙂 I cheated a little this time though. After I attached them I just serged the whole armhole, and then turned the serged edge under and tacked it to the lining. It’s not as nice as a real finished sleeve on the inside, but I wasn’t really planning on doing this today. Or doing sleeves like that either. It was kind of a last minute change… I know you know what those are like.

Seriously, it’s amazing. The sleeves are killing me.

    Pink,

Start to finish in one day? I’m so impressed! Creamie is adorable. And so is the dress.

Love it! Love Flicka Ricka And Dicka as well as Snip Snap Snur. We have quite a few of the books too. Yummy bread and butter. We will have to try making the butter, already have the bread down. Have fun twirling!
