A Little Fall Roundup

October 3, 2011

I just wanted to post a few links to projects from last fall when I was infinitely more put together and organized in the blogging department.  But I have a new plan, and new resolve, and I am working on new posts for this week.  And all that even though Creamie is still sick (seriously, it is killing me!  Doctor again tomorrow) and not going to preschool so my morning hours are full of motherhood instead of blogging.  Meh, it happens. BUT, Scott finished up the huge project he has been working on, and even though the funding meeting for said project has been pushed from this next Thursday to November (grumble, grumble, eat more brownies) we got to spend the whole weekend together.  Three days (he has Friday’s off).  We got to sleep in.  Eat breakfast together and then just hang out all day.  It felt like Christmas.  Last Friday was his first day off in 54 days.  Yep, he has been at one or two jobs every. single. day. since August 8th.  Not a single day off. And believe me, we all felt it.  I forgot how much I like to just hang out with him.  I hope we never have to do that again.

Anyway, here are a few posts from last fall if you weren’t here a year ago.  Because they are still good ones.

Cinnamon Chips and Pumpkin Dip

Stuffed Fall Pumpkin with free pattern

Fall Leaf Accent Pillows

This last tutorial, the accent pillows are made from Walmart placemats.  Tonight I was at Walmart and saw that they have them again this year, in brown, a much more fallish green and orange.  I maybe bought a few more to add to my leafy collection.  I also bought a whole bunch of canned pumpkin.  And pumpkin dip is going on my list of treats to make this week.  See you soon.

I was seriously just thinking about your pumpkin dip this last week (I made pumpkin cookies for my first fall baking of the year), and had intended on pinning it today. Thanks for the easy reference (and delicious recipe!), I’ll be making this as soon as I get more pumpkin (I went to two different stores, and neither of them had just plain old canned pumpkin! lame! I’m hoping the Walmarts don’t disappoint tomorrow). Mmm.

I am determined to make some pumpkins this year! I’m in love with orange this fall. Maybe with some Joel Dewberry?

    Pink,

Love your fall projects. I was playing with my orange fabrics the other week and thought of your pumpkin tutorial. You are so crafty! I love it!

How do I get the pattern for the pumpkin and stems to print full size. I’ve tried several things and they are printing too small 🙂

If your printer settings are set to print without scaling it down and it still doesn’t print i don’t know what else to try. You could print them out and enlarge them on a copy machine to whatever size you need. I hope that helps. (also, sorry to be so long getting back to you. I’ve been high in the mountains for 4 days and just got back 🙂

Love these ideas! Thanks for sharing. I’m going to be on the look-out for those leaf placemats – adorable.
