Change of plans

December 27, 2010

You know how sometimes you have the very best of intentions, and your plans are all well laid out?  And you’ve got lists and diagrams of how things are supposed to be and everything?

[ A gorgeous Clara and her nutcracker doll, made  by the amazing Hillary Lang.  See more pics of this impressive  bit of awesomeness here. No seriously, go look.  I need this in my life. ]

And then something comes along (like gross colds and croupy coughs) and changes all of that?  Yeah, that last part happened.  I’m going to take this week off.  I need a vacation, and it just so happens that now is a good time.  Send happy healing thoughts our way.  And pass the Nyquil.

    Hope everybody feels better soon!
Once, when I was working and my kids were very small and teething, my boss said to give them a dose of Tylenol with codiene (sp?) then drink the rest of the bottle myself. I never tried that piece of advice out… but I thought it was so funny.

Bummer! I’m right there with ya with the croupy cough sister. I haven’t slept in 3 nights and I am mighty tired of this cold. No voice either, I used it all up singing at church on Christmas Eve (I think my family is pretty happy about that, actually).

Get well soon! I can’t wait to see all the fabulous things you made for Christmas.

Feel better everyone! I got that book for Christmas and can not wait for a free moment to start something sweet for my wee little girl.

We here in California send our best wishes and prayers to a speedy recovery. It is a hard thing when
the mama is sick. It is a good time for some old movies and chicken soup.
