Playing with Scraps
August 27, 2010
Creamie’s new favorite game is to dump out my box of scraps and “sort” them into little piles.
She can spend45 minutes at a time stacking and restacking her little piles, carefully sorting them with a system apparent only to her.
And when she comes across a little bit that she recognizes she’ll hold it up proudly and say “dress!” or “bed!” (a scrap from her crib bumper) or “blanket!”
It warms this sewing mama’s heart.

Cute!! I am jealous of your scrap collection!!
that is one smart cookie!! usually a child has 1 minute of concentration for each year of age–so this is just wonderful that she spends that amount of time! i’m impressed

Those scraps are so prettteeee! No wonder she’s bedazzled.
She is such a doll! By the way, what are you doing labor day weekend? I will be up in the area and maybe we could stop by and see you!
She is darling Erika!
So so so adorable!!! 🙂
That’s it – I am getting out my stash bin tomorrow to let Baby have at it! Creamie is having so much fun in those pictures. Love her blond hair!!
ooo, mine, too! Warmy, warm, warm. It helps, I find, when sorting scraps from the floor…. back onto the floor, to be exactly 36″ tall. Soooo much easier on the back.
