Rainbow Colors

July 10, 2010

A few days ago I found another Pyrex dish at the thrift store.  And as I was trying to discover the name of the pattern I came across stacks and stacks of lovelies on flickr.  And I still don’t know the name of my dish pattern, but I sure found a lot of eye candy.  And in all the colors of the rainbow.

I think I could give away all our DVD’s and have enough room to put these in their place.  It would give me much more enjoyment, it would be prettier and if I had a party I could serve the whole planet in style.  (Scott is shaking his head at this point.)  Sigh, so so pretty.

Oh these are so nice! I love the birds in the first pic, but my favourites have to be the Aquamarine dishes! Thanks for posting these!

I enjoy your blog – it is happy and the pretty things you make or find make me smile. In regards to the vintage pyrex pattern: I imagine you have already seen this site in your search, but just in case you haven’t: http://www.pyrexlove.com/vintage-pyrex-pattern-guide/.

I grew up with the Aquamarine set. I made popcorn everyday after school for my younger sister and myself. We stuffed ourselves while watching “Dark Shadows” and we always used the largest bowl for our after school treat. My mother probably still has those bowls. Thanks for a nice memory!

My husband doesn’t understand why we have about five sets of dishes. He also does not understand which meals look the best on which plates and always chooses incorrectly. Men are so silly.

My mom has several of these bowls. I think she got them when she got married. 🙂

Oh my gosh, we have the pyrex dishes from the top two pics back home in the house I grew up in… I moved overseas a few months ago and seeing that brought back some happy memories 🙂
