Love the blankie! The argyle and polka dots are perfect. I love your style!

Another similar idea: We recently learned how to make blankets like this in an Enrichment mtg. They were called Hawaiian blankets because they were light--no batting (also it was a Hawaiian lady teaching the class). We used a twin sheet for the back and it came around to make the mitered corners and then 2 yds of a Hawaiian print fabric for the top. They are big enough to curl up in on a night that's too hot for a heavy blanket. They're also great to haul to the beach and light enough to throw in the washer. For the mitered corners, many pins were used--that was the easiest way we could figure out.

I'm looking forward to your tutorial!

The simplicity of the design makes this a beautiful finish. Creamie looks happy with it!
